February Progress, demo delayed


Hello everyone,

*small note, most of the animations for Rena don't have her tail in yet since I always do the secondary animation last. They will be in for the demo release. 

Unfortunately the new demo isn't ready yet. I'm sorry for yet another delay, I wanted to get this finished for you all before February was over. But I will go over the progress I've made so far, and outline the next few steps for the project. 

Most of the time for this month was spent on polishing the animations for the game and establishing the game's overall structure so that I wouldn't have to go back and fix anything once I expanded on the game more. I spent some time looking at Godot tutorials and other projects to make sure I was establishing things right and handling things like UI and Scene management correctly.  Currently I have most of the menu UI implemented, but I'm also going to add a "pressed" version of each of the buttons since right now I have  "normal" and "hover" versions for each. That way there's some good feedback when a player presses a button and not just when they're hovering over it. The sprites shouldn't take too long to make for these since I already have the base done for them,  and they are relatively small. I have everything for the menu working via mouse, but also want to make sure it's controllable via keyboard inputs, so I'll be implementing that too.  I'll also be animating Rena on the home screen. She'll have  a few  more animations she can do on the home menu, but for no it will be her default idle animation. In the wip shot below, the green lines will indicate how her wings will animate.


I also worked on animating the UI button for the anal scene as well as fixing the background for the home and sex scenes. I also spent time cleaning up the animations for the anal scene and the animations for RenaCatch, which  will be the mini-game that will be tested for this update. I still need to code a bit for this mini-game, but I've laid everything out and it shouldn't take too long to do.  I still need to finish the UI for game feedback. But doing the art assets and implementation shouldn't be too bad. I'll also be doing the UI for the mini-game selection, but since those are still pics, they shouldn't take too much time to do as well. Here are some of the animations for RenaCatch:


 l also spent time working on the background for the anal and vaginal sex scenes. I think my backgrounds overall have been a tad lackluster, so I want to devote a bit more time to them and make them look better. It's still needs some polish, but I think it's already looking a lot better than before. It will also have a few animated elements to it such as the shadow of tree leaves and grass moving in the wind. The vaginal scene won't be in this update since I'll be updating it, since I've learned how to  manage larger scale animations better. But it will be sharing the same background that the anal scene uses. I'll post some wip shots for the animations below. No tails yet, but it'll give you a good idea of how they'll go.

That's about it so far. I'm really sorry that I couldn't get the demo out by February like I wanted to, especially since you all have been waiting patiently for it for quite a while now. I will work harder and try to get everything wrapped up over the next two weeks. Thank you for your patience.

No need to stress about the delay. Remember not to work yourself to hard now and keep up the good work.

Renny looks so hot in these scenes..i dont mind no tail for the update as long as i get to pound that booty in 👄

you know what i just realised. renamon has no tail in those animations

There's a note at the top that explains that. I do all the secondary animation last so the tails aren't in since they aren't fully done.
